Playing catch up

Things have been a bit crazy and blogging hasn't really been on my to do list! We've had a lot going on and things have been good! Here is a little run down on the past few months!
- Tyson left on his mission- he is now in South Africa and doing great..
- I started a new job and I am loving it!
- Corbyn started another semester of school
- We took a trip to Lake Powell with some friends
-Saturday was our sister in law Nicole's baby shower- we are soo excited for baby Sophie to come!

I am going to make an effort to keep this thing updated as we head into my favorite part of the year!

A little UPdate

It's been SO long since I have updated.. We have been super busy but I wanted to post some pictures from Kandace and Trevor's wedding! They tied the knot on May 18th.. Such a good day.. They make the perfect couple!! <3 <3 I am so excited for my sister and Trevor, they deserve to be happy!

I made cupcakes for Kandace's shower.. Her colors were green and blue and her favorite candy is fundip so I decided to make Fundip cupcakes!

A new addition!

HA! Not that kind of new addition... I am overly superly excited because this weekend we found me a stylist chair! It's great, I won't have to tell my clients to saddle up on my barstools anymore.

It made my weekend. Thanks to my husband for finding it. It's a great start to my home salon.

What else has been going on.. My brother Tyson  got his mission call to... Durban, South Africa. We are SO excited for him and think he will do great.

So since I thought it was going to warm up (False Alarm) I wanted to get some spring decorations! Maybe it'll help the snow go away. I feel bad because I can't remember who's blog I saw these on but I decided to make some colorful balls made of yarn, glue and water. Ballin'....

They were a fun little project and I will probably change out the colors for holidays/seasons.
Speaking of seasons.. Spring can come anytime now...

Marchin' on..

This has been a pretty crazy past few weeks! My bestest friend Katie had her baby! Fatai Aiden Halatokoua was born on March 7th and is probably the cutest baby boy ever.  Just a week before we had a little shower for her!

It was so much fun to see Katie after she had the baby. Congratulations to her and Pasi.

Lately I had been feeling in need of a vacation or a little getaway.. So Corbyn and I decided to go down to St. George and vegas for a few days. It was so nice to get away for a little bit.

I am a sucker for sunshine so any chance to run away to warm weather, I'm taking advantage!

Lately I have had a lot of people ask me about the feather extensions... I wasn't sure about them at first, I thought they might be a quick trend that would go in and out but since I had some interest I decided to give them a shot! What do you think?

I am now doing feather extensions for anyone wanting to add a little flair to their hair... Nice rhyme, I know..

Kitchen experiments..

Over the past few weeks I've been in a cooking experimental mood.. I don't know if it's because it's cold outside or I just love to do holiday themed things. Either way I had some fun the past couple of weeks.

For the superbowl my family has a party. My Dad loves to cook and go all out with the food and TVs. I decided to make a dessert.. I was reading one of my random blogs I like to read and found a recipe for cream cheese Oreo cookies. I thought doing them football shaped wouldn't be too hard.. One messy kitchen later... we came out with these!

Experiment #2 was some Valentines Day cupcakes.. I wanted to make some to take to our families.. I am not usually a fan of red velvet but it's a red kind of holiday! They were red velvet cream cheese.. (I didn't get a picture of the final product) but they were fun to make.

What is Valentines Day without chocolate covered strawberries?? I love my husband :)

WeDDing BeLLS N' BlinG..

It's been an eventful but GOOD past few weeks! My sister Kandace had a birthday and.. Got engaged! I am so happy for her and her fiance Trevor. They dated before he left on his mission and she waited the whole two years for him. She definitely deserves to be happy. Trevor proposed last week the night before her birthday and just in time for hearts day!! I am so excited to start helping plan the wedding!

Things have been busy for us, school started for Corby and I have been able to do more hair lately. My sister Jennica let me put some BLING strands in her hair. I hadn't really done them on anybody else so it was fun to experiment! She picked purple.. Doing them reminded me of doing hair extensions, which I LOVE to do but don't do nearly enough.

I am so glad January is over, I am a little bit late but have been thinking of some New Years resolutions.. (or new February resolutions I guess).. One of them is to eat more healthy and to keep in shape. I follow a blog/website by the cutest girl, bodyofamother.blogspot.com ... Check it out, she is so motivating!!

Another one is to get my house decorated and finally put wedding pictures up! Decor and odds and ends for your house add up fast. I like to make things so I have been trying to think of things I can make..

We'll start with those and see how things go.. :)

Blogging- the online journal?

I just started this blog and haven't decided how I feel about it. I mostly created it because I follow so many cute and interesting blogs and thought why not have my own.

When I told Corbyn he laughed and thought I was being funny.. What's so funny?? Is it because I don't really have anything to blog about? Okay.. Probably true...

I think I want it to be a place to share ideas I've seen or things I've been doing, even if they are boring and not much.. I am always all over the place always trying this and that so that is where the name of the blog comes from.

The past few months have been CRAZY! On October 28, I married my best friend- (awww ...) It was a perfect day. The day before that, after a 3 month long process we closed on our house. It was funny how the timing worked out so perfectly. After a week long honeymoon in Mexico we came back to reality.. Painting, putting a house together and going through the holidays has been a whirlwind.

So many changes just in time for a new year. I am excited.
